About the film


Masterpieces is a documentary film, directed by Cristian Murphy, which explores the vocation of artisanship, specifically through the world of five artists as they share how they are called to serve God through their art. 

​Watch as this film reminds us why we are all called to create and live out our vocation.  ​

Christopher Alles is a New York based artist that specializes in sacred art. He received his education apprenticed under sculptors Dony MacManus and Tomasz Misztal. He has works around the US, most notably a monument of St. Charles Borromeo in Montgomery Township, NJ.

Annabelle Moseley has served as Poet-in-Residence of the Stevenson Academy of Fine Arts, Writer in-Residence of the Walt Whitman Birthplace and Long Island Poet of the Year; and is credited with innovating a new poetic form, the "Mirror Sonnet." She founded "Desert Bread," a series of lectures on faith, literature and the arts. Her work has inspired collaborations with artists, musical settings by composers, and is featured in anthologies, textbooks and such journals as America Magazine, Our Sunday Visitor, Aleteia, The New York Times, The National Review, and O: the Oprah Magazine. Annabelle Moseley is author of ten books including "Sacred Braille: The Rosary as Masterpiece through Art, Poetry and Reflections" (En Route Books and Media). She is an award-winning poet, novelist, Professor of Theology, speaker, and host of the Catholic radio shows, “Then Sings My Soul,” and “Destination: Sainthood,” on WCAT Radio.

Deniz Demirer is a Polish-born filmmaker and actor currently in pre-production on his sixth feature film. He apprenticed with independent film icon Rob Nilsson for over a decade in San Francisco and eventually started making his own films. Demirer’s films are deeply intimate and collaborative and are made with actors rather than for actors. His work has appeared in dozens of film festivals around the world.

Madison Mitchell was humbled to make her Broadway debut in the Original Cast of the 2016 CATS Revival (CATS Chorus/ Swing).  She is currently performing around the country in the National Tour of CATS (CATS Chorus/ u/s Grizabella).  Select Regional Credits: Les Miserables, The Light in the Piazza, The Fantasticks. Madison has vocally trained with Jill G. Goodsell in California for the past 14 years, and has trained in various studios in California and New York for acting and dance since she was 5 years old (Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, Mea Hack, Patrick Page Acting Studio).  She received her B.A. in English (Summa Cum Laude) from Southern New Hampshire University. Br. Joe Hoover has appeared off-Broadway as twin brothers in Monster at the Jose Quintero Theatre, understudied the title role in Uncle Vanya at The Pearl Theatre and was in the ensemble in the Public Theater's King Lear. His plays include The Ditch (John Houseman Studio Too Theatre), The Good Life (Midtown Intl. Theatre Festival) and Jay and Ruby Get Religion (Davenport Theatre). He is a poetry editor at America Magazine and teaches drama at Brooklyn Jesuit Prep. He is a Jesuit brother.

​We aim to create a ministry experience that can educate, entertain, and inspire.
